Create a managed knowledge space for documents

ManageVector gives a team one place to organise its selected documents and work with the knowledge they contain. A useful document collection begins by deciding who will use it and which questions it should support.

Start with a purpose, not a pile of files

Create a named space for a product area, client project, policy set or internal subject. A concise description gives future users a boundary: include material that serves the purpose and keep unrelated files elsewhere.

In the service page, start with a clear name and description, then choose the material that belongs in the space. The list of existing spaces makes it practical to return to a collection instead of rebuilding it for every question.

Bring the right material into the right space

Choose a workflow that matches the source material and the job to be done. The interface supports creating a space, adding uploaded files, adding material from URLs and creating a space from a ZIP archive.

  • Name and describe a new knowledge space so colleagues understand its purpose.
  • Add selected documents, web sources or an archive when you are entitled to use them.
  • Return later to rename the space, remove files or delete a space that is no longer needed.

Use questions as a review aid, not as an automatic decision

Once material is available, users can ask a question and supply instructions. This can help locate relevant passages or prepare a working answer, but the result should be checked against the source documents before it informs a customer, employee or business decision.

Ownership, accuracy and deletion need attention

A knowledge space reflects the material chosen for it. Keep it current, inspect answers for omissions or context, and remove obsolete or inappropriate material. Deletion and removal operations can affect future use, so confirm the selected space and files before proceeding.

Only add documents, URLs and content you are authorised to process. Respect confidentiality, intellectual-property rights, privacy obligations and the permissions of every intended user. The service does not make a source authoritative or guarantee an answer is complete.
